Microdermabrasion

What is Microdermabrasion?
The technology of modern microdermabrasion is a well-established treatment and has been used in practice for over 20 years. Microdermabrasion uses a highly controlled flow of fine, medical grade crystals to remove the dead outer most layer of skin. This skin exfoliation process reveals the new, living skin cells that are soft and smooth.
What does it treat?
Acne, comedones, congested skin, sun damaged skin, superficial age spots, pigmentation, brown marks, blocked, dry flaking skin and fine lines and wrinkles
How many treatments are required?
Depending on your skin condition, treatments vary from a single treatment to a course of treatments, Dr. Coleman or her nurse will go through this with you on your first visit.
Contraindications
Microdermabrasion is not the treatment of choice for people wanting to freshen up their complexion if they suffer from broken blood vessels as it may make them worse.
As with all treatments there are some conditions where treatment maybe unsuitable, however, Dr. Coleman or her nurse will go through your medical history with you and determine whether or not you are suitable for microdermabrasion.
